Description
Sori Brewing is located in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Backed by crowdfunding investors, Sori Brewing is on a mission to make the world more fun with better craft beer. Started by two Finns who moved away from their home country to brew without compromises. Not far, but far enough to make it count. Together with an amazing team, these guys are dedicated to bring you joy in a form of craft beer.
Currently brewing around 3000 hl a year and running a barrel program with almost 200 barrels. We enjoy brewing a wide range of beers, from barrel-aged big beers to refreshing sours and super hoppy IPA’s.

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a small head. Aroma of anise, roasty malts, hints of coffee, licorice, espresso and berries. Taste is smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with some cocoa, earthy notes, hints of licorice, espresso and vanilla sugar. Finish is sweetish, slightly roasty and earthy with hints of cocoa, licorice and vanilla extract. A bit unbalanced. Re-rated at OlutExpo. Slightly better from tap.

330ml bottle from K-Supermarket Postitalo, Helsinki. Pours murky orange with a small head. Aroma of lime, tartish notes, hints of sourness, mint and lactic notes. Taste is salty, juicy and slightly fruity with hints of berries, lime and mint. Finish is dry, slightly lactic with some very mild lime notes. A bit untypical gose. Not much sourness here.

Keg at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, Netherlands, Wednesday 30th September 2015. Reddy amber in colour with a sticky off white head atop. Malty but a good hoppy thrust and a real perfume punch, lavender or violet perhaps. Quite thick mouthfeel the hops are a little resiny. Good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Bottle, batch 010. Pours black with brown head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is roast, coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, coffee, vanilla, spices, malt. Overall: very good, but the sweetness gets overwhelming and is bit too unbalanced for me.

Bottle (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours amber with whiteish head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is lime, sweetness, sugar, acidic notes, mint. Flavor is sweet, sour and salty, citrus, lemon, lime, mint, slight popcorn. Body is watery. Overall: it’s weird, but I drank the whole bottle without effort, so I guess it’s ok.

Sour smell, some green apple and coriander there. Cloudy yellow colour, high white head. Aroma of grass, coriander, orange peel. Medium sour. Wild carbon, half-dry texture. Light-to-medium body. Some flavour there which I cannot pinpoint, but doesn’t fit in.

Hazy dark blond with lasting head. Flavours of pale malts and fresh hop. Certainly flavoursome and sessionable.

(Keg at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20150808) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness and cat’s pee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grapefruit, sweetness and bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy and bitter. A nice hoppy pale ale.
