Rich, hazy orange and copper coloured body with a nice tan head, only about a centimetre tall. Aroma of pungent tropical fruits, hops (of course), alcohol and a nice rich malt backbone. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour at first, tropical fruits, light pine, strong syrupy maltiness and a rich deep alcohol note at the end. Aftertaste shows a very well-balanced hoppy flavour with tropical fruits, a touch of sugars and a nice complexity at the end. Overall, a surprisingly well-balanced, robust Imperial IPA with a smooth hoppy flavour at the end - great, to be honest. I sampled this pint on draught for US$7,00 at TJ Stone’s in Alexandria, Virginia on 28-August-2015.
