Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a lot of haze and unfiltered, almost chunky notes coming through, all with a thinnish, subtle single centimetre tall off-white and tan head on top of the ninety per cent opaque body. Aroma of deep chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, earth, nuts and a lot of molasses and caramelised sugars which hit very strongly and perhaps more than the vanilla, but perhaps less than the chocolate and cocoa notes - oh yeah, there is plenty of malt and alcohol in the nose here too. Full-bodied; Rich, creamy and deep grainy malts come through with oatmeal, hazlenuts, earth and even some licorice and star anise coming through with a lot of cocoa, chocolate and pungent sweetness that comes through everything here with a lot of vanilla to blend everything together nicely. Aftertaste shows the rich grain, a lot of residual sugars, a dash of yeast and breadiness coming through, but the chocolate and vanilla here really dominate and somehow provide enough flavour to overpass the rich roasted malts. Overall, a great beer, very deep, very rich and while great to sample in fall or winter, having it outside at the start of summer is tough, but a great beer! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, given to me after a hockey game by my teammate, and sampled on the roof of my hockey rink after a game on 02-June-2021, thanks Jacob!

13 oz. draft. Guest tap at Elation. Aroma has floral and fruity hops. Flavor is a mirror of the aroma. With the addition of grapefruit and mango-ish elements. 10% is completely hidden. Wow this is a specimen of a brew!

Bottle shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a clear amber with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has has light grass and earthy pine with a bit of hay and light grain underlying. Flavor has straw and grass with some wet pine and grain backing.

Bottle. A- Citrusy, mild funk, melon, mildew. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Citrus, pine, melon, slightly musty, lingering tang P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- Unique. Definitely not a standard IPA or a ton of bitterness. A fair amount of sourness and tang to it. Different but not completely undrinkable. Definitely got worse at it warmed though. Also a gusher on opening.

$3.35 pint can, WW. The Great Debate was whether I should start off with a 9.1%-er... that debate lasted 10 seconds. Pours nearly black with a small tan head. Dark and milk chocolate nose, cocoa as well. Both milk and dark chocolate, roasted malt, light char, toasted bread crust, a bit of ash in the end. Slightly gritty too. Not loving it.

Can from Chris M: pours slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is slight coriander, citrus. This is a little older than it should be. Pretty bitter, wit characteristics are muted, not great.
