Description
In 1996 Pabst, once one of the largest breweries in the United States closed down its production in Milwaukee after 152 years. Since then Pabst’s legacy brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR), Old Milwaukee, Lone Star, Rainier, Stroh’s, Old Style and Schlitz are brewed under contract by third parties. For nearly two decades, MillerCoors brews and distributes all of Pabst's beers under an agreement. In 2019, it has entered with City Brewing Company into a 20-year contract production agreement until 2040. Pabst will gradually transfer from 2021 until 2024 its production from MillerCoors to City Brewing.

Can Side by side with the full strength version. pours out a light gold topped with a tall white head. Aroma of malts and corn sweetness. Tast was a little smoother than the OG version. Still not good.

You think they give the Blue Ribbon out to anybody? Shit no. PBR is a wonderful beer: smooth, lightly carbonated, sweet taste. An outrageous caramel, syrupy sweet character! Clear, yellowish color, essentially no head. A nice tribute to our grandfathers.

Can. Small fizzy white head overe a clear yellow body. Corn, hay, rice, slight BO and wheat in the aroma. Faint grassy hops. Dry, corn and hay flavor. Very dry mouthfeel, way over carbonated.

Tap. Clear yellow color, short head. Aroma is a bit grainy, some hop. Slight bitter and dry taste. For a pale lager, it’s actually not that bad.

It is what it is. Light, not a whole lot of flavor but mildly refreshing. I might pick it over water.

Um... ok... so you take Pabst and water it down and you get this. So it is bad. But hey it is at least easy watery drinking and has a taste of that Pabst crappiness that we all love, so I can’t hate this beer all the way except because it is so blasphemous against the very good name of Pabst.

Thanks to decaturstevo for this gem! Very pale clear yellow body with a medium sized white head. No aroma, no flavor, watery.

Pretty blue 12 oz can. Cheap pale lager aroma but not offensive in any way. Ubiquitous pale yeloow lager appearance and there is no sign of sparkling within. Piss and tea froth head. On the first taste, this stuff seems to hide the alky content better than most other ’cheap ice’ beers. At times this stuff even seems to have a malty chocolate appeal to the taste, weird for an ice beer. Decent carbonation tho there is no sign of it in the mug. One of the better cheap ice beers I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. Taste is as mild as many non ice lager beers. Finish is decently acceptable with a tad of cheap lager alky hanging around for a while.

Brings out my inner hillbilly! Actually got a keg of Pabst in college and removed the stickers...all night people kept asking what it was and how it was really good. Most were shocked when we said it was pabst and not keystone or bud light. I give this beer a big yeehaw
