Big thanks to markwise for hauling tons of beer across the country to GABF and to share on our wonderful beer bus tour on Friday. This puppy poured mahogany with a tan head of foam. The aroma is interesting with coffee, earthy malts, some mild fruity ester notes like red apples and grapes and then some cinnamon spice. The taste has the wine barrel tartness right from the start and moves into lesser amounts of roasted malts, ripe red apple wedges and a bit of yeasty spiciness. Cool stuff.

Sampled from the tap at the Cajun Cafe Fall Fest. Pours a clear pale golden amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of sweet wheat and some light sweet blueberries. Flavor again has sweet wheat with a bit more tartness from the blueberries.

Sampled from the tap at the Cajun Cafe Fall Fest. Pours a hazy amber with a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains and caramel with a thick sappy pine hop note. Flavor starts with more bitter pine has some sappiness and a bit of caramel in the finish to balance the bitterness.

Sampled from the tap a the Cajun Cafe Fall Fest. Pours a cloudy deep peach with an off-white nearly immediately to the edges. Aroma has a real nice full blueberry with an good amount of tartness and hint of acid. Flavor has less tartness but is still full of blueberries with a slight tartness coming out in the finish.

Bottle @ Darkness Day 2012 shared by Armin. Thanks! Pours a dark reddish brown appearance with a cream colored head. Caramel, mild oaky, toffee, plum aroma. Somewhat fruity, toffee, light chocolate, plum/raisin, a touch nutty flavor. Pretty tasty.

Shared by the guys on the brewbus, thanks! Pours a murky brown color with a small tan head. A very odd nose that could be described as fecal notes, or something akin to overripe fruit. A sour fruity mix with some vinous notes, a bit of earthy saison, funky almost. Interesting. I’d like more.

Draft at Stubbies and Steins, Gainsville. Filtered orange-tan-brown. Nice creamy white head. Respectable orange floral, fresh hop aroma. Clean, fresh, lots of hop flavor. Sort of like and amped up English IPA, East Coast style. Toasty golden malt, medium to full bodied, a really pleasant, well executed IPA.

On draught at Cigar City. Pours black with a medium frothy beige head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and hops. Light to medium body with a roasty character and notes of chocolate malt and mild hops. The finish is short with a roasted malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
