Straw colored, heavy carconated. Aroma to the maltish side. Lightbodied, but ok balanced and with a slight malt aftertaste.

Dry and zesty - pretty nice. Smooth and sweet up front - clean and dry in the finish.

Lightly hazy, off-golden with full fluffy head. Approaching caramelized funky aroma. Plentiful grassy and floral hops. Lightish palate, caramelization is restrained. Mainly hoppy and less complex than the aroma suggests. Begins to get a little funky. Not a true Duesseldorfer altbier, so don't expect that - essentially unique unto itself.

Deep copper colour, and a malty, toasty, nutty, almost cracker-like aroma. The palate is smooth, with honeyish notes amidst clean malt flavours, and a firmer, drier, whiskeyish character in the finish.

Well-made, unfiltered but clean-tasting lager...............................

Don't let the name fool you, as it has so many others. This IS NOT a dusseldorfer altbier. This is an old-style German ale. Reminds me of a Kolsch with a good dose of acidity in the finish. Remains fresh-tasting and develops well with even a couple years of cellaring.
