Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of fresh green Cascade hops with nice citrus and light resin notes is very well balanced. Taste is also a nice mix between some floral green hops notes with light citrus and resin notes back by a solid malt backbone with semi-dry caramel notes. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Another well balanced beer by an Ontario brewer who keep surprising me.

This ale poured a beautiful amber colour with a medium, bright white head. Aroma’s include hopps, hops and more hopps. Citrus, grass and pine most prodominate.A little malt/caramel and spice too. First sip was mildly carbonated with an attack of bitter hops to the tongue. Flavours of spruce and citrus very powerful. finish is bitter with a sharp spruce flavour lasting on the palate.

Hard bitter hops with some perfume florals and lots of grapefruit citrus. Crisp bitter aftertaste and little taste of alcohol despite the high percentage. Pours clear orange with good lacing and initial head. Good base of caramelized malt. Tap.

Bottle at Craft Beer Co tasting, thanks to the Cad. It pours gold, with a thick white head. The nose is sweet tangerine, orange sherbet, grape, orange squash and hay. The taste is tangerine, orange pith, apricot, biscuit, hay and straw, with a solid bitter finish. Medium body, average carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Nice.

Bottle at the 1st CBC Sunday Tasting. Thanks to Mad Tom. Has a lovely, rich hop mose. Some thick brea, bit of honey, lemon citrus. Medium sweet flavor, sweet bread, light straw, some zesty citrus, pine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Slight oily hop finish, nice sugars, light orange, light toast. A damn fine IPA. (4.1)

Can at ChrisO Pre-GBBF Shindig 2012 - London. Pours perfectly clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Fairly malty nose, some straw, pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with mellow hops, dried pine, light orange. Light to medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, some light jammy citrus fruits. Very pleasant. (3.7)

Big brown bottle with swing-top at the LCBO. Pours a deep amber colour with a full creamy-foamy off-white head that has great retention and decent lacing. At first pour, a hay smell is what comes out of this, but after breathing a bit, the hop comes out. Nicely balanced mouthfeel between wet and dry. The hop also shows up more and more as you sip it. Well-mixed with the caramel malt base. Quite easy to drink and pretty nice overall... just a tad expensive for a 6.4% brew (as that is the price for higher alcohol content beers in the same format - and this one, not being an import). A great English Pale Ale (being less bitter than APA).

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrus hops is quite powerful on this one. Taste is a nice mix between some floral notes of hops with some citrus, piney and bitter notes clearly coming out; malt base is dry caramel and strong enough to sustain the malty base. Body is full with good carbonation. Very well brewed and quite pleasant. Probably one of the best IPA to be bottle out of Ontario.

Originally rated June 2006. This one pours a golden colour with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly, leaving close to no lace. The carbonation is quite heavy and the nose is of cereal malt. Written 4.8% ABV on the front label. Watery and slick mouthfeel. Smooth, with hardly any bitterness. Mild-sweet malt with touches of grass in the finish and light apples in the aftertaste. A thin layer covers the brew the whole way. A bit overpriced, not the best premium lager, but nothing offensive, so would drink again if given by someone.

A little bitter, a touch of sourness. Certainly decent, and leaves a nice finish.
