330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours hazy blond with decent white head. Beautifully sweet aroma with hints of vanilla. Taste is just incredible. Beautifully smooth with a soothing sweetness & good tripel notes. Very nicely blended with very minimal bitterness or spice. I could happily polish off a 75cl bottle of this.

Beer from a hobby brewer from Diksmuide, commercialized through Deca. Tasted years ago when it was just on the market and revisited yesterday. Sticky, off-white, medium thick and moussy head, misty golden blonde colour with slight peachy hue. Very fruity aroma, lots and lots of banana milkshake, apricot, pineapple jam, stewed pear, strawberry, guava, sweetbread, rosewater, sherry, hay, vague hint of whisky. Soft, fruity onset, sweet and teeming with banana ester next to pineapple, ripe starfruit and ripe apricot notes, medium carbo, bready malt base with a slight soapiness to it, background sourish touch, yeasty with mild grassy hop bitterness in the finish (fresh hop cones apparently having been used) as well as light spicy phenols and a light, well-hidden alcohol afterglow. Typical sweet Belgian tripel, very strong in the classic banana ester but more 'exotic' in the nose than is averagely the case and in that sense a bit distinguished. Enjoyable.

The label looks modern, but the recipe is as old as the Belgian beer culture. Typical yeasty and fruity Belgian blond. Nice, but not special.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from ALBO. Hazy orange, small soapy white head. Smells of esters, fusels, thick plaster yeast, boozy, thick chalk. Tastes of fusels, bitter esters, plaster, chalk, boozy, solvent, glue, bitter, dry,… Chalky yeast body. Another one of these Belgians.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a clear, mid golden colour with a halo of white head. Aroma of soft fruit, honey and mild citrus. Fruity initial flavours with notes of dates and mango, mixed with chewy malt. Finish was esters, light hay and golden syrup.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy golden colour with average, reinforced, fairly lasting, white head. Phenolic fruity aroma, sweetish, yeasty. Taste is moderately sweet malty, bready, yeasty, minimally tart fruity counterweight, dry hoppy overtones; additionally a peppery spicy yeasty note in the finish; lively carbonation.
