Description
Initially, the beer was brewed by Roberto Giannarelli at home using minimal tools needed. After initial successes Roberto decided to invest and finally crown his dream shifting production to the historic former barn renovated ad hoc to accommodate new machinery and definitely give rise to La Petrognola Brewery. Between 2012 and 2013, the transfer takes place to the new site a few meters away from the previous one, but with very different spaces and possibilities for development.

Bottle at Birreria del Pratello, Bologna, Italia, 25.02.11 Quite dark in this place. This place which had a decent selection of Belgian and German beers presented us with our first problem, we were trying to drink just Italian drinks all weekend, phew this was the only one they had and at 5.50 Euros a 75cl bottle not too bad a price. Pours hazy amber with white rim for a head. The hops show a little but there is a clinical cleanliness, bit of vanilla. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

Bottle, semi-gusher. Dirty amber with clumps, tight off-white head. Aroma of peaches, pears, lemon zest, vanilla, cloves, coriander seed. Taste is nutty, fruity and spicy with a dry but not bitter finish that has hints of vanilla scented green tea. Refreshing, interesting and good.

Bottle. It’s an almost clear one, pale golden in color and with some big chunks of yeast. Big, rocky, white head that soon diminishes into a thin layer of bubbles. Some lacings. It’s very lemon on the nose, in an artificial way, making me think of all the ignorant people saying that some beer smells like dishwashing water. They might be right if they talk about this one. Except that it’s not bad, just very strange. The intense citrus are reduced after a while. It’s thin on the palate, dry. The flavor is quite lemony, some maltyness, and with a sort of pleasant spiced bitterness. Ok, it’s interesting to try this one, but if I’m to drink more of it, someone better pair it with food. 101006
