From a 500ml bottle on 23/10/2016. Pours a murky light golden with a small head. The nose features some light fruit, with some fridge notes. In the mouth, it’s a bit weak, with muted sweet fruit - you get the tangelo, but it lacks any real bite or zest, resulting in something that feels half baked. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Uninspiring.

Bottle (Farside Beers). Black with a tan head that fades to a cm. Aroma of Bounty, gentle spices. Some roasted malt, some dark berries. Nice, but too much coconut. Just oily, lowish carbonation. Sweetish with light bread, berries, chocolate, mild spices. Bitterness creeps up a bit and with it at the end is plenty of coconut and oak. Nicely weighted and balanced.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phloen Chit, Bangkok. Poured a hazy light orange colour with a round white head. The aroma is big orange peel zesty citrus and alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a smooth, rich tropical citrus, light alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. For 10.5% the alcohol is reasonably well hidden and with bags of fruit that seems to keep it there.

(Bottle) Pours hazy golden amber with small loose white head. Pleasant aroma - citrus, pine, hints of grass, biscuits and cardboard. Light body with rather fizzy carbonation. Taste is light on malt and heavy on hops giving some imbalance. Starts with tart citrus notes with the slightest biscuity malt, becomes a little watery in the mid-palate and then some good hoppy bitterness develops in the finish. Pleasant enough but rather unbalanced. Seems to have had a name change to Mt. Macedon Pale Ale.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Funky fruity hop aroma, a touch metallic. Hazy pale yellow with thin solid white head. Medium carbonation, tiny bubbles. Light body, zingy. Finish is malty, fruity, hoppy, everything a good lager should be. Easy drinking and moreish, really nice.
