Description

Pours clear, but very dark amberbrown . OK white foam but the big bubbles make is fast fading. Smell is bit of cinnamon , as well as other spices . Very unintense though ! Taste is very light , bit bitter , some earthy / caramel notes . No real spicyness - contradictional to the scent. Mouthfeel is extremely thin , with too much carbonation. A less subtile description could very well be sparkling water, with a touch of fades dark malts and a mild bitterness ... Way to weak for me .. especially given the fact this is 7 % , and I had more intense beers of 0,5 % ...

Courtesy & thx! to Kraddel. 2012 Vintage (bottled on 27/03/2012) 33 cl. bottle split by 4. Pours a golden, touch orange. Nose is overly oxidized, honey, weird cardboard cornflakes, sweet. Taste is oxidation, bitter spices, touch grains, metallic, overtly oxidized, old hay. Carbonation is way too high. Still good for more than a year but already feels like a mediocre Belgian Strong Ale way past its selling point.

Bottle Pours clear blonde , no foam Smells chemical soapy sweetness . Taste is sweet , bit hops , bit perfumed . Ok , way less worse than the smell makes you fear ... Ok carbonation . Has some aspects of a cheap pilsner ..

Bouteille 33cl, BB 22-11-2014.

33cl bottle: poured into a Duvel glass during a random beer tasting evening (at home) on 30 May 2013. Good golden look, no sediment left the bottle, deep white foaming head on top. Yeast and spicy hop notes in the nose. Taste was the same with hints of citrus bitterness to make the beer sharper and crisper than the aroma suggested. A good example of a Belgian blond.
