Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Buckinhamshire, Thursday 13th September 2012 I was quite pleased to see this on offer and no new Aylesbury or Vale beers as I guess I would have been inclined to deviate towards them, but back to this beer. It pours dark gold, really crisp and citrussy, refreshing and with a nice dry finish. Very enjoyable. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Black pour with a tan head. Coffee, dark chocolate and smoke aroma. Dark chocolate, coffee and raisin flavour. Dry.

Bottle at Rooie Dop brew dungeon, courtesy of caesar. Unclear amber colour, thin white head. Nose is caramel malts, bit of pine and citrus. Flavour is caramel malts, bit flowery, moderately bitter, with some pine again, some fruityness. Fairly dry and bitter finish.

Cask gravity at Sebright Arms Hackney. Orange amber colour slight haze disappearing white head. Tropical fruit aroma. Yes quite hoppy bitterness on finish. Yes there is Nelson Sauvin on finish. Some earthynesd to the finish. Pretty tasty.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, Kentish Town - 20/04/12. Clear golden in colour with a small white head. Yeast, toffee, malt and a little citrus on the nose. Flavours as nose, slightly sweetish tasting beer with a medium body.

Gravity dispense at Windsor Locale festival - 22/07/12. Clear copper brown colour with a frothy white head. Sweetish caramel malt on the nose and a little fruit. A little hopiness in the taste, caramel, biscuity malt and a little bread all held together and balanced well. Medium bodied with a crisp bitter finish - good stuff.

Draught@The Cock Tavern, London. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, some fruity and floral notes along with mild earthyness. Flavour is grainy, grassy, bready and also has some earthy notes.

Bottled@chriso pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is earthy, floral, mildly yeasty with some herbal and wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, herbal and mildly wooden notes. Pleasantly balanced.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012. It pours hazy straw yellow, with a thin white head. The nose is wheat, dough, spice, light fruitiness and over-ripe banana. The taste is wheat, spice, dough, metal, hay, straw and citrus pith, with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. So-so.
