At the Fest zum Reinen Bier in Ingolstadt. Not sure how it was served.. was in the stone mug when I got to it. Enticing aroma full of raisins, caramel and roasted grains. Medium bitter, sweet underneath. Finishes dry and bitter with the hops at last taking the upper hand. Medium bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Really liked this one.

At the Fest zum Reinen Bier in Ingolstadt. I believe it was poured from a bottle. Somewhat golden.. difficult to make out in the stone mug. Creamy, white head. Aroma a mix of tropical fruits and garden weeds with a hint of metal. Not particularly enticing. Taste is bitter and crisp with a touch of resin at the end. Ok.

Dorada nebulosa de bonita espuma blanca de buenas retención. Aroma cereal notas cítricas. Muy agradable es boca de suave textura Y carbonatación perfecta. Muy buen sabor equilibrado con base agradablemente malteada, y contrapunto más seco y con notas de bollería y naranja y mandarina.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Friday 10th January 2025 after a short Winterwanderweg at Rusel (local nr Deggendorf) listening to Craig Charles on 6Music, we're cooking a Curry Guy 'Chicken Methi' later. Pours light/mid amber with a fast disappearing white head. Malty on the nose and in the mouth, a little bit chewy, thick mouthfeel. Nice tasting Doppelbock but easily bettered by yesterday's Graf Toerring Bock.

330ml Bottle - Golden w2ith a white head. Grass, tea and some slight notes of citrus and hop resins. Grass, citrus and some slightly soapy and resinous tastes in the taste.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a foamy head. Bread and some slightly floral and citrussy notes in the aroma. Grassy hops, bready malt and hints of lemon in the taste. Refreshingly dry finish.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Friday 19th May 2023 after mowing the lawn, think that we might have Cheese and Crackers for tea, listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. Pours mid gold with a white head, initially quite dry and with a cranky bitterness, only 2.8% but tastes good, i.e. not too weak, a little soapy hop. Pretty good.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Slightly roasty, dark malty and slightly caramel malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of sugared coffee, weak grainy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally toasty, dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, a minimally nutty touch, weak, hoppy counterpart, metallic overtones. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, clean, maybe a tad too light and simple - decent.
