Bottle picked up in St. Louis. Pours a nice reddish amber with a massive head and a fizzy soda-like carbonation. Aromas are fairly bland... a little bit of a mixed fruit and brown sugar/caramel sweetness is about it. As best I can tell, this bottle was from last year’s batch, so it has a little bit of age on it. Flavor is a decent enough mix of thick and sugary malt, a little bit of spicing and some fruit tones that balance things out. It sits a little sticky and heavy, but is enjoyable.

Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours vibrant yellow-gold with a sturdy, white head. Plenty of spices, Belgian yeast and sugary fruits on the nose. Some nice coriander, clove, candi, malt, alcohol and banana. Full bodied with strong carbonation. Sweet, warming finish with lingering Belgian character and spice. Very nice.

Pours a clear, golden-straw with a full white head of tiny bubbles that disappates quickly leaving a collar. Rich malt aroma with slight spice. Medium, chewy mouthfeel with crisp yeast, crisp dry finish. Nice malt on the palate with great spicy hop, some harsh tones at the finish.

On tap at Bottleworks (called No. 20, Vol. 1 Imperial Pilsner). The snifter held an orangish beer with little head and sweet, sticky aromas of honey and light fruit. Flavor was decidedly unbalanced... a medicinal/astringent ABV stuck out awkwardly and blasted away the malty sweetness and fruity undertones. Nothing much to say other than that this was a mess of high ABV with a lot of malt.

Dark with a half-inch head. Malty, roasted, light caramel, and some cocoa in the aroma. Nice creamy body with mild carbonation. Lightly coffee roasted malts, some oats, light chocolate, roasted malt flavor. Real nice oatmeal stout that went great with my rueben.

bottle - Pours amber and smells of caramel malt and dark fruit. It tastes of sweet malt with ample caramel as it intends. This medium bodied brew is smooth, lightly toasty, and enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a moderate bubbly white head. Aroma is bread, lemon, and grassy. Flavor is similar to the nose. Sweetish, citrus/lemon with a grassy bitter finish. Soft carbonation combined with citrus makes it easy to drink.
