At the brewery, pours a dark translucent amber with some sticky, foamy off white head. Soapy nose, pine, grist, some tea, heavy citrus peel. Flavor is huge with orange rind, grapefruit rind, heavy pine, caramel, chewy grain. Full bodied, chewy, sticky finish.

14oz draft pour at Lost Dog - Alexandria. Poured a very slightly hazy yellow color with a one finger white head. Aroma was light citrus, some mild tropical fruit notes. Flavor was light floral character, citrus, pine. Not a whole lot of wheat character here.

Can from the ’Craft Beer Corner’ at Fedex Field, Maryland. Pleasant rye beer, with earthy and spicy malts, berry fruits, leafy hops and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Draft pint (or 10oz) pour at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown. Poured a very dark, perhaps black brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was light herbal notes, spices, dark chocolate notes. Some strange herbal notes. Getting a very "holiday" beer character from this one, but not overpowering in the ABV.

Very nicely done. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Lots of roast on initial aroma and a nice light to medium bitter follow through. You can taste the molasses here - it adds a nice sweet note. Tap at Glens.

Draft at Snallygaster 2016. Looks a bit more like a cider than anything else. Clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is light spicy notes. Not a lot of rye, very mild. Interesting. Nice.
