Clear reddish-brown pour with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of lemon, toasted malt and spices. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, caramel, lemon and spices. The finish is sweet with a malt and citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

16 oz. can from JoePeesie poured into a shaker. Pours clear crimson with small beige head that dissapates quickly. Some thin medium bubble lacing, medium/heavy body, low carbonation, and Thai spice and a little kaffir lime aroma. Taste is Thai spice, kaffir lime, pepper, some coriander, and a bitter finish. Apparently I am too common, I don’t like this.

Can, from Firefly, Vancouver
Black color, with a short lived brownish head. Gentle aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate, light liquorice. Good body strength; roasted malt and dark caramel flavor, chocolate, with some liquorice; correct bitterness.
Nothing surprising.

Location: 16 oz can from Buy Rite, 6/29/12
Aroma: The aroma is fairly subtle for the style, with roasted malts, chocolate, and nutty notes
Appearance: This one pours a dark brown color with a thin light brown head and light lace-work
Flavor: Tastes lightly sweet and mid-heavy roasty up-front, with some later dry roast, and a little tartness
Palate: The body is medium (though it feels light for the style), with average carbonation, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty interesting beer. The nose is a touch on the subtle side, but ultimately the components that are hinted at in the nose are basically the same ones that shine through in the flavor. The tartness though, I only found in the flavor. Overall, I found some things to like, and some things that I didn't like quite as much, but it really is a pretty solid beer.

Draft: Fig and cranberry nose. Cloudy rust, thin yellow head. Twigs and cherry flavor. Creamy mouthfeel, but boozy. Not usually my type of beer, but this was good.

On tap at Gaasa, Oslo. Slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Fruity aroma with lightly yeasty notes, citrus, pineapple and malt. Lightly sour with some bitterness in the finish. Sour and citric aftertaste with hints of apples. Quite nice and refreshing on a sunny afternoon in the backyard of Gaasa. (2012-06-22)

Hazy golden colour with a white head. A nice acidic (lemon?) and fruity (mango?) aroma. Milde moderate sweet flavour. Also acidic and fruity. A mix between lemon and mango. Nice refreshing beer.
