A deep dark porter with a thin creamy moka head. A plesant treacle and chocolate, notes of vanilla and alcohol warmth. In mouth, a silky sweet chocolate, butterscotch, treacle, oily and rich bodied. Du bonbon! On tap at Russian River Beer and BBQ Revival, August 15 2009.

Expensive can. Pours with a hazy tangy toffee like amber brown body with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, dark fruits, lime, coriander, clove, very spicy, with light bandaid. Taste is a spicy and rich dubbel, with dark fruits, coriander, chocolate, and alcohol. Medium carbonation.

Draft. Dark blackish color with a winey/beige head. Aromas of dark malt and red wine. Fulll bodied with mild carbonation. Flavors of really dark toast, port wine and light spice. Develops sturdy and persistent chocolate in the finish. Anise seems present. Not dry, but why should it be?

Can 50 cl. Courtesy of henrikb. Hazy and opaque amber golden with absolutely no head. Fresh and lightly citrusy nose. Quite full-bodied with sweet caramel accents and some fruit. The finish is fairly bitter. Not bad, just rather unspectacular. 230309

Tin shared by Marcus. Amber color with a slight beige head. Aromas of mild caramel and some sort of citrus. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavors of caramel, mixed citrus and light yeast. A rather airy dubbel. Quite refreshing. A good entry in the class of wierdly flavored Belgians.

16 oz can from AgentSteve; Thanks! Right out of the can I am hit with spicy brown sugar and a lime note; putting it to my nose I get some bubblegum, corriander, caramel, and candi sugar sweetness; hazy copper with a medium, lightly lacing, brown head; flavor is of belgian spices (cloves, ginger, and corriander), light sweetness, and a citrus note; there is a little bitterness in the background and finish, along with some alcohol warmth. I am going to have to get a bunch of cans for winter evenings!
