Draft. Rich amber beer with a nice cream colored head. Sweet brown sugar, maple, and mollases aroma. Earthy flavor with malt and a light sweetness. Medium bodied. Earthy and maltiness lingers with light maple flavored cotton candy.

Very dark. Aroma is powerful and full of dark fruits, roasted malts, some cocoa, light anise, and milk. Flavor is much the same with the anise slipping away and a light coffee note taking its place. Full and chewy body. Such a complete beer but I could drink it all night. So very nice.

Copper red in color. Citrus, light malts, coriander, some lemon, and a nice dose of spices in the nose. Flavor has a nice maltiness to it but is challenged by the strong lemony citrus. An odd play that seems to work and make for an interesting beer. Nice spice and light yeast to round it out. The alcohol is well hidden. Very fun to drink. (Draught at Ushitora, Tokyo)

Hazy brownish-orange that pours an off-white head. Fattiness and malt on the nose - the nose is like spent grain. Mouthfeel is like drinking unfermented beer after you’ve taken your final gravity reading. Kinda full, but kinda funky. Lots of gamey fresh malt on the palate. Sweet malts follow through and it is surprisingly mediocre. I don’t know what to make of this beer, but I am glad I tried it. You don’t really get much actual bacon, but certainly taste and feel a fleshy-ness to the whole beer that must come from the bacon.

Can. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Strong lime and coriander notes. Moderate bitter and very fruity flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate and too fizzy.

Med-Amber color. Sweet malty nose of sugar cane and lemongrass. Full bodied. Big lemongrass and sugar cane nose. Full body. Big lemongrass, mildly sweet mouth. Well balanced. Lingering lime and lemongrass finish. Very strange, but very very good.

From tap at Church Key. Pours hazy dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malt and light caramelish. Bitter, roasted malt and caramelish flavoured. I’m not getting that much bacon from this - which is good. Vague metallic note. Ends dry, roasted and bitter.
