On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration.
Dark brown beer, opaque. A few lonely tan bubbles. Palate is dry and a little crisp. Dry rich woody notes - no oaky sweetness though. Rich malt. The alcohol is obvious in as much as it is drying as well as warm. All leads to a warm dry finish. An intriguing beer. Although warm it’s doesn’t taste anything like 14.5%. Just a little too dry.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy dark brown head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was port wine, anise, cherry cola and cracker. The flavor was bitter and roasty with moderate chocolate, coffee, port wine, cherry cola and anise. Long bitter, dryish and roasty finish with lingering cocoa, coffee and port wine. Medium body. Solid.
