Description
Set in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia, Blue Mountain opened in 2007 as the region’s first rural brewery. Founders Taylor and Mandi Smack and Matt Nucci had a vision to bring the brewery experience out of the normal hustle and bustle of an urban environment. Today, we’re still focused on making an inspired range of the highest-quality beers that can be enjoyed at our two locations in beautiful Nelson County, or in bottles and cans throughout Virginia and beyond.

Growler from the brewery, shared at the 9th Richmond Gathering. Pours a slightly hazy bronze color with a medium head. Big malty toffee aroma with loads of resiny and citrus hops. Some earthy and herbal notes as well. Very bitter taste. Fruity with peach, apple, apricot, citrus and pineapple. Good toffee malt backbone balances very well. Lingering hop bitterness. Full bodied.

Clear copper color, foaming head. Light perfume nose, a touch spicy. Clean balanced flavor profile, with sweet bready malts, light bitterness that balances, minimal hop flavors. Reminds alot of Yuengling, only a little better!
