Cask at Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet, at 3.5% ABV. Pale amber with a loose white head; weak tropical fruit aroma; rather thin with some tropical fruit and grapefruit flavours; and a crisp citrusy finish. This doesn’t stand up to the other lowish alcohol, heavily hopped beers around nowadays.

Bright clear gold beer, big fluffy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, somewhat lagerish but with a milky sweetness. Trace of tangy fruits and very mild spice. Light semi dry finish. Clean and drinkable.

Cask at The Swan, Bloomsbury, London. 3.5% ABV. Poured a golden/amber with a decent sized but quite short lasting white head, leaving good lacing. Aroma is sweet, well hopped, with floral notes. Medium+ sweetness with a good level of hoppy bitterness. Light/medium body, soft carbonation, texture a little sticky. Has a long bitterness to finish. For its ABV this is very good.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge convention, 24/01/2015. Thanks to the Osprey. Aroima is plasticy phenols, medicinal tcp. Clouded dark caramel coloured pour with a lasting thin tan head. Flavour is dirty earthy, wood, mineral, charrd wood. Weird beer.

Bottle shared, thanks to Olliejobbins for the trade. Almost black with light beige head. Extremely peated, light coffee, iodine, really pure and strong iodine, some malts and massive roasted coffee. Red Porto wine, old pillow cases (?), farm animals. Taste is light bitter peat. Medium bodied. Ok, this is one extreme peaty punch in the mouth but still not bad. Extremely earthy.

Bottle shared thanks to Maakun. Pours cloudy brown with a tan head. Aroma of massive peat overwhelming everything else, but with a touch of caramel, toffee and malt behind. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium bodied with light carbonation.
