Hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Big TCP nose. Smooth and semi dry palate. Light malts and sweet dried fruits. Big TCP follows the nose and is also a little sweet. Airy dry finish. An odd duck for sure and not to my taste.

Bottle 375ml. @ [ (pre-Christmas tasting ) by chriso - London ]. [ As Little Beer 1917 (Ardbeg Whiskey Barrel) ].Clear medium to dark orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, pale malt, grass, peat - smoke (massive). Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, grain, hay - grass, sweet malt, fruity, grass, peat - smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141207]

Cask at the EUSC, Egham, 19/12/14. Hazed reddish amber with a moderate off white/light crimson covering that retains well. Nose is straw, raspberry sorbet, bitter red berries, light bread dough. Taste comprises tangy raspberries, perfumed notes, pink berry, straw, light bread notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a little bitterness to the berry notes tempering a sweet undercoat. Ok for style.

Bottle shared at chriso’s winter tasting 7/12/2014. Aroma is big smokey, tcp medicinal phenols, bit of booze. Clear golden coloured pour with a little amber coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is composed of medicinal, phenol, boozy, nutty malts, booze. Palate is medium sweet, moderate high carbonation. Too much smokey and phenols

Bottle shared at the chriso pre-Christmas tasting 2014 - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Massive peat aroma, some cured ham, dried citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with hearty peat, smoke, cigarettes, gasoline, wood, pale bread, leaves. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with more peat, moss, mild earth, cured meats, berries. Punchy but not bad.

[ As Little Beer Little Slow ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, flowers - honey. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, honey, flowers, sweet malt, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140417]
