Description
The brewery was founded in 1988 by the couple Pierre-Alex Carlier and Marie-Robert Pourtois. On March 24, the first brew was brewed that was named La Moneuse. A 7 hl brewing installation was custom-made by Meura. In 1992, investments were made in a bottling line. The eldest son Kevin Carlier now heads the brewery, along with his wife Bérangère Deschamps and his father-in-law Claude Deschamps.

Aromas are malt, yeast, caramel, a little bit of green apples, Green grapes and spice. Flavors are similar to nose with great balance between bitter, tart and slightly dominant sweet. Double fermented for excellent carbonation. Refreshing despite sweetness. Nice.

75cl bottle no year mentioned anywhere as far as I can see. 6%
opened with a giant shaken champaigne like BANG but no beer spilled out so well done.
tons of brett in the aroma, also some hay, very dry and non-sweet, very balanced. crisp. flavor is grassy with notes of hay and a lot of brett dryness and yeastiness. quite refreshing and a strong bretty flavor for a 6%er. far from as sweet as most biere de garde, and imho much better. perhaps a bit onesided bitter yeasty but otherwise a fine saison.

375mL bottle, undated, as far as I can tell, drunk 8/2/25.
Clear, bright golden. Small, fairly creamy, white head.
Bright, zesty, aromatic nose with, perhaps, a pinch of Brett adding light band aid to the otherwise zesty, spicy, classic Belgian profile of stone fruit, honey and pepper. No booze noted, no crude esters, phenols. Big, round, honey-like malt with a touch of biscuit.
Clean, maybe not quite as complex as the nose, with soft honey and white bread-like malt, herbal, zesty hops and good attenuation. Fruity, peppery, with just a touch of band aid and/or Goldings-like hoppiness. Easy drinking, flavorful and showing no alcohol or crude ester/phenol character.

12.7 oz corked and caged green bottle from Smokes and Suds. Pours slightly hazy golden with a giant soapy head that sticks around. Aroma has notes of skunk, lemon, wood, sulphur. Taste is lightly sweet with a hint of hop bitterness around the edges. Highly carbonated champagne-like mouthfeel.
