Bottle shared at Deanso’s crappy music tasting. Pours cloudy bet with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus, overripe fruit and fudge. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Thick mouthfeel, medium bodied and soft carbonation.

Sampled from bottle @ Dean plays crappy music tasting. Unclear orange color, small white to off - white head. Smell and taste malts, fruits, sweetish hops, slightly buttery, slightly bitter. Sticky texture, medium body and carbonation.

Bottle claims only 5.2 % ABV Shortlived, off-white head over deep oak/woodstainer-brown beer. Rainwater, coffee, bit mineral saltiness, maybe some DMS. Light, tasteful stoutflavours, with coffee and mocha. Faint cocoapowder, dried green herbs. Ashes retronasal. Light to medium bodied, quite slick. Very nice light stout. Many thanks to Mathieu!

Very good yellowish head over well-carbonated, fully hazy orange beer. Dried hops, intense barnyard odours, cattle fodder and quite some citrus. Again barnyard, sweet-bitter, grapes, dried fruit as figs, straw, dried vegetables. Long bitterness. Very slick, slight alcoholwarming; medium to well-bodied. Good one, unmistakably. (Has been raised in ABV.) Many thanks to the African traveler MV!

Slightly aged sample Nearly no head over clear, copper-orange beer, yet visually well-carbonated. Floral nose, but also a bit solvent. Again (as the APA) watercolour paint. Dried citrus fruit, cookie malts. Hoppy, dried hops, citrussy (hops) flavours, semi-dried grapes. Finish stresses grapey hops. Medium bodied, quite slick, bit sticky feel. Quite OK - I’m sure that it must be pretty outstanding fresh. Txs to Mathieu!

Nearly gushing to huge, yellowish-beige head, over unclear, orange-ochre, very carbonated beer. Very fresh-smelling nose; hops and garden herbs (some unnamed small green tree comes to mind), watercolour paint, floral. Watercolourpaint returning, mild-malty, cookies, dried herbs. Finish and aftertaste are quite peppery. Medium bodied, very carbonated, slightly refreshing. Nice & interestings. Txs to SA traveller Mathieu!

2013, bottle, sampled in 2025. Dark brown, medium head. Deep fruity character at this age, light chocolate, some acidity and more fruitiness. This actually comes through really well...not saying it's supposed to have this character but it works nicely regardless. 7 - 7.5 - 7.5 - 7 - 7.5 = 7.4
2012, at the Cape Town Beer Festival. Dark brown. Aroma of chocolate and a little bit of toffee. Rich chocolate, toast, good balance and some impy sting but mellow. 3 7 7 3 14 = 3.4

A summer ale, but smells funky. Dull blonde. Taste is bland, crackery, sweet and w too much funky yeast.
