Draft. Clear golden color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of freshly cut wet grass and anise, wow! Taste is bitter lemon, grass, flowers. Good stuff.

12 ounce bottle. Reddish, copper color with a medium sized beige head and lot’s of medium sized bubbles. Mild toasted malt aroma hints at baked bread. Some foral hops,too. Dryish toasted malt flavor with a slight sour apple flavor. Some citrus hops in finish.

A lightly hopped summer beer. Aroma has dry hops, and flavor is on the dry side also. It actually has more flavor than I expected, and the light palate makes it good for warm summer weather.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark copper with a thin, persistent, beige head and heavy lacing. The aroma is bread, butterscotch, earthy hops, and butter. The flavor is fairly sweet and a little bitter. The palate is medium, astringent, grainy, and clean. Overall, this is a nice, easy-drinking beer.

Really good IPA from St. Paul’s Summit Brewing. Pours a copper-gold with medium head. Strong hop aroma. Flavor a bit like heavily-mineraled water, with the citrus and pine bite of your best IPAs. Very satisfying beer on a hot day. Nice clean, bitter finish.

A decent IPA from Summit, but rough around the edges. The hops give a solid green herbal flavor with some grapefruit thrown in to boot, yet the beer has a harshness that makes the finish mildly abrasive. Prickly carbonation doesn’t help. Still, there’s a bready, citric center that makes Saga drinkable, and the herbal, bitter fade assuages the spiky texture.

Bottled@Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is bready, toffeeish with quite strong hoppyness as well. Flavour is crystal and caramel malts with some fruity, wooden and ripe fruity sweetness.

Bottled@Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pale yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet wheat, mild grass, some slight gluelike notes as well as mild citrus. Flavour is very similar. Quite sweet, without too much balance.

Bottle. Banana, clove, and caramel malt aroma. Cloudy dark amber color with large tan head. Mildly sweet banana, clove, caramel malt flavor. Body a bit light. Not bad - would have liked a bit more malt though.
