Cask at moon under water Watford Jdw. A mid copper coloured pour with a speckled beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty toasted malts, little liquorice. Red currant, light pine hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet layered malts, toffee, black liquorice, treacle, sticky pine sap. Palate is semi sweet, decent cask condition.

Bottle from Home Bargains, Salford. Deeper golden with a head. It tastes a little deeper than its strength might suggest as well. Tasting hoppy, there's a little bit of breadiness in here, more so than the said citrus on the bottles beer notes. Nevertheless it's fairly tasty.

Pours a clear dark amber colour with an average sized, mostly lasting, foamy beige head. The aroma is malty, brown bread, caramel and dried fruit. A moderately sweet malty taste, malt loaf, caramel, citrus peel flavours with a bitter finish.

Cask at the Cornfield Garage, Eastbourne. Poured a clear dark reddish amber colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is malt, toffee caramel. The flavour is moderate to light sweet and bitter, with a smooth, malty, biscuit dough, bready, toffee, mineral, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Highland Laddie, JDW Norton. Gluten Free. Deep amber gold colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, fruity, chocolate hint. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, toffee, raisins, honey, with dusty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Cask-conditioned at the Berkeley (JDW), Bristol 10/3/2019. Copper in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Berry fruits, some robust, bready malts with an earthy edge, leafy notes, a touch of caramel, and a lingering bitter finish. Enjoyable.
