16 oz. can, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals a nice rustic saison yeast character upfront, accentuated by the melony, floral NZ hop character, and backed by soft doughy malt. Flavour is bright, with vibrant melony hops, rustic saison yeast, and a dry biscuity malt. Nice crisp carb, almost champagne-like, with a great hoppy vibrance to drive the yeast expression. Real good, especially for the ABV.

Bottle from Tavour: fizzy gold with big white head. Aroma is earthy and bretty plus floral and herbal notes. Fairly dry and earthy. Slightly bitter. Yeast helps to bring out the character of the hops. Generally pretty good.

16 oz can. Aroma is yeasty, grapefruit, lemony, chalky candy, a little funky. Pours hazy golden with a one+ finger off-white head with decent retention. Taste is moderately tart and fairly bitter with flavors of citrusy hops and Belgian yeast.

Tavour: pours pale and kind of hazy. Aroma is minerally, light saison funk, some light hints of seaweed. Taste is a pretty smooth saison with just a hint of salt. Very smooth. Just a bit funky.

Very peppery, with an almost berry-like character to it. Hint of salinity, very soft funk. Very unusual, but very intriguing. Good malt (spelt) character shows honey and gooey biscuit to pretty easily balance the acidity.
Flavor is unexpected based on the nose, but probably shouldn't be given the kelp. Briney, not obnoxiously-so, with plentiful, soft, chewy malt tones and plentiful pepper and berry-like acidity on the finish. Wonderful, spritzy carbonation further contributes to perceived dryness and refreshing drinkability. Very unique stuff. Doesn't go too far down the rabbit hole of brine/vegetal with the kelp, but certainly is innovative and unique. Man, these guys just can do no wrong!

Incredible amount of aromatics coming off this thing while pouring. Rich, spicy, fresh herbal hop character with a good mix of rustic grain, honey, cracker, etc. from the malt. Clean, crisp, intense. Very impressive for its relatively small stature.
Wow, they really got a lot of bang for the buck. Damn. Excellent, almost chewy malt character is deep and supple, but properly attenuated and showing a bit of sourdough and biscuit character to add more texture. The hops really shine, with wonderfully flavorful, spicy character. Herbs and soft florals for days. Good bitterness, but not overdone. Still maintains a good levity for high drinkability despite all of the rich flavors. The longer it breathes and the more I drink, the more intricacies I find in the malt/yeast character. So much minerality and delicate yet dry and and rich flavors.

Oh boy....Brett galore, though it isn't even dominating. Just fruity, gently tart and playing nicely with the adjunct and Sacch to allow a plastery-cellar-like character underneath juicy, bright berry and extremely elegant esters/phenols from the yeast. Soft, balancing, delicate, honey-like malts are the cherry on top.
Both malty, soft, rich and succulent but at the same time bright, tart and drying out wonderfully on the finish. Just the right amount of grape character to complement without dominating or adding too much tannin/acidity. Balanced, intensely flavorful for its size and with nothing crude, nor does the Brett dominate the Sacch.

Aroma: kinda flowery soap, herbally.

Draft at Ballard taproom. Medium gold pour. Small white head leaves splendid lacing. Earthy, sour malt aroma. Flavors of biscuity malt, lemongrass, kiwi fruit and mild funk. Light and dry with subtle complexity.
