Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown with a nice crema head. Nose - wood and earth. Burnt toast. Taste - sweet toffee with a dry wood note. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - not a great example of the style.

33cl bottle. Pours dark reddish brown colour with a mid-sized beige head. Aroma of dark malt, dark fruits. Taste of dark malt, dark fruits, nuts, sugar, strange!

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew. Dorée-orangée, trouble, col blanc. Arôme est citronnée, fruité, noble , rétro de grains fermentés et concassés. Palais procure un léger profil ester banane, amertume citronnée modérée avec une pointe épicée, effervescence moyenne voire haute le tout plus que classique et au fini belge. Sans plus.

Arôme est finemetn amer, noble, malt plus que basique pils, rétro fruité finement fleuri de houblons Saaz/Hallertauer. Palais est léger, crisp et propre, amertume citronnée est fine, léger côté métallique, et au final monodimensionnelle.

Sampled @ ZBF 2016 (Thank you for sharing BE RB CREW!) Clear citrus golden, little white; nose is soap, esters & the kind of things you usually get in cheap East-European lagers, oily. Taste is soap, esters, huge vegetable oil, butter popcorn, cheap pale lager. Corn sugar. Don’t get the appeal of these churning something that you can get dirt cheap at the supermarket.
