300ml plastic-bottle from a corner-store in Kigali / Rwanda 🇷🇼. Nose of rotten banana. No carbonation. Muddy brown and very unclear in the glass - like water with earth mixed. The brew starts thick and sweetish. Alcoholic-fermented, rotten banana, spicy, kind of earthy. Fruity esters, muddy, the sorghum is as a grainy earthy background there, the over ripe and rotten banana also. Sweetish alcoholic aftertaste. Very strange stuff! But interesting!

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano. Looks like thin mushroom soup. Smells, and tastes like syrupy acetone. Shit, this is horrible.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention 2014. Pours soupy yellow-brown with no carbonation and no head. The aroma is a mix of paint thinner, white sugar and pureed bananas. The beer tastes horrific and actually induced goose-bumps. There’s a bit of syrupy banana sauce, but it is overtaken by lightly acidic turpentine. Medium bodied, syrupy, astringent, chewy, with no carbonation. Sharp, sugary and harsh on the finish with more paint thinner, varnish, mashed banana. This stuff is truly, truly heinous. I honestly think if a person drank a whole bottle of this he (or she!) might do himself (or herself!) some serious harm.

And so it came to pass that on the 24th day of January 2015 the fourth and final plastic bottle of this beer given to Fin and passed down through many hands arrived at the RateBeer Cotteridge meet. As luck would have it most of the gathering had already sampled the brew, so only five or six of us shared the murky mixture I poured into each glass. It slurped out looking like muddy dishwater, murky brown with no hint of a head. Thick, viscous and slimy in texture. The aroma was strange, rotting veg with a sweet undertone, the taste the same, banana hints within. Weird in all aspects and certainly different: cheers Fin (and Dan for storing and bringing it).

Bottle. Rwanda tick suckas! Hazy deep amber liquid with no head. Aroma of booze, licorice, yeast, medicinal alcohol, paint thinner and rotten banana. Taste is light to medium sweet with notes of grain, bread, booze, acetone and hard bread. Medium to full bodied with no carbonation. Pretty awful.

Bottle shared on the London Bimble 26/04/2014. Big THanks to Finn for the Rwanda tick. Muddy shit water brown with no head. Quite viscous. Sroma is tart, sharp acid, cleaning product. Flavour is rancid, sweet, slaty banana, rotting fruit, rotting fermenting banana. Muddy dirt and smoke finish of the terrible drink. Made me gag a little with a little sip. Terrible.

Plastic bottle, massive thanks to Fin! Vintage bottle apparently! London Bimble. It pours murky, muddy brown with pretty much no head. Like dirrrty pond water. The nose is earthy, raw alcohol, green banana, rotten vegetables, dirt, sweetness and vinegar. The taste is tangy, balsamic vinegar, sweet banana, sugar, alcohol kick and good deal of acidity with a tangy-vinegar finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Interesting for sure. Tangy and dirty. Truly epic!
