Tried at the 2022 Nottingham Camra Beer Festival. Off black colour with a medium head. Aroma and taste are dark roasted malty and slight smoke. Slight dry finish. Medium body.

Gravity cask at Bedford Beer Festival 2022. Pours dark golden with a white cap. Cereals, rye, bread on the aroma & taste. Medium body with soft carbonation.

16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours hazy pale orange gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is hoppy, tropical, pithy orange, biscuit, husky fruit. Medium sweetness, heavy bitterness. Medium body, slightly watery, very soft carbonation. Very bitter fruit finish.

16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear pale copper amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, blackcurrant, sweet malt, toffee, touch of spiced chocolate cake. Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Sweet, dry finish.

Cask at the Maypole, Cambridge, 19/07/22. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is mellow roast, toffee, charr. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, toffee, mellow roast, raisins, cocoa powder. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. OK stout.
