Blue waxed 750mL, acquired in trade from the generous GT2, pours with an amber body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up caramel, smooth bourbon, a light yet thick malt sort of nuttiness and then vanilla and oak. Nice. The taste is nice and rich and smooth with a firm edge of booziness. I get caramel, sweet malts, a bit of nuttiness and then a good load of boozy barrel notes. Toward the finish there’s smooth boozy bourbon and some vanilla mixed with blunted spicy oak giving this thing more depth and interest. Great sipper that will only get better with another year or more in the cellar.

On tap at Brea. Hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Aromas are grainy, toasty, vanilla, almond and floral honey with a light ester. Flavors are dry and a bit husky. Very floral honey, somewhat aggressive. Medium esters. Very lively carbonation with a bone dry finish.

Centennial version on tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear golden yellow hued body and a foamy white head. Citrusy, pine, grapefruit pith and resiny aromas with mild apple. Resiny, pine, earthy and citrus flavors. Medium malt, dry. Off-dry, medium carbonation.
