We are committed to doing our part for the environment at the brewery. Our used malt goes to some local farms for use in agriculture. We also use our spent hops for composting, which helps enrich our small garden, where we attempt to grow some classic British hop varieties such as Fuggle and Target.

[Cask at the Counting House (JDW), Glasgow at 4.4% ABV.] A chestnut coloured pour with a dense beige head; nutty caramel aroma; smooth and unctuous in the mouth, coating the tongue with a malty caramel taste; then a clean tart fruity finish leaving a dry salty feeling on the lips. A very nice Porter.

Bottle picked up at Luvians Cupar. It pours clear golden. - blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma has heady notes of maritime whisky, savoury, salty, pear, melon, apple, pear drops, juicy, tangy, doughy white bread and sponge cake. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, toothy, wood, quite savoury, maritime whisky, touch of liquorice, pear, apple, melon, tannin, some boozey warmth, white bread and biscuit with a drying finish. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Definitely cokes across as Cambletown whisky. Interesting and well done.

Very dark brown with thin head. There's a faint strawberry sweetness but also an unwelcome slightly sour edge. Thin and watery too. Seems like it is not at it's best.
