Description
Brewery founded by Gary and Diane Oldershaw but under new ownership since 2010. Renamed to their current name in early 2020.
At Zest brewery we make an excellent range of beers brimming with quality, character and passion all infused with a touch of Planet Rock!
Zest Brewery has been borne from merging centuries’ old brewing techniques with progressive thinking to deliver a range of both traditional and innovative beers of outstanding quality in cask, bottle and canned format.
The lessons learnt from our Oldershaw Brewery roots are being used to continue to look after our local customers, to start our mobile bar business offering both static pop up bars of various sizes and also a converted horsebox bar – Bar Zest – and to broaden our bespoke bottling capability.
Beers are available to trade through direct delivery and wholesale distribution. Casks of beer are available for parties, weddings, corporate events and all celebrations.

Gravity poured, third of a pint: 24th Aug 2016, Peterborough CAMRA beer festival. Light golden pour, weak white head. This is yet another golden citrusy led beer, so much like all the rest. Scored objectively, even if I am fed up with the style.

Gravity poured, third of a pint: 24th Aug 2016, Peterborough CAMRA beer festival. Golden orange pour, off-white top. Mild citrusy (mostly lemon) nose and flavour, a little grassy in nature too. Subtle brew and yet another ’single hop beer’ that did not really do much for me.

Flavour is composed of rustic grains, custard, woody, earthy citrus, bark. Not the best example of the hop. Palate is semi sweet grainy, highish carbonation. Ok.

Cask at GBBF’16, day one, 09/08/16. Golden blonde with a moderate off white covering. Nose is melon, citric peel, bread dough, orange. Taste carries a subtle Sorachi bite, lemon rind, grassy, pale malts, toasted grains, melon, light herbal rinse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi dyring close. Ok sorachi golde ... more interesting than your average GB.
