Bottle from Craftissimo at home on cold Sunday afternoon. Dark black pour with puffy grey/tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and tropical fruit. Taste is similar. Like a light black IPA, maybe a black APA? Quite nice. Roasted coffee flavors overpower hops a little bit at first and then give way to fruity hops before a bitter coffee chocolate finish. Nice.

From a 330ml bottle on 8/12/2015. Pours a hazy light golden with a smallish head. Has a lovely, strong tropical fruit hop aroma. Flavour wise it’s very sweet up front with oodles of apricot, peach, melon, honey and marmalade, which is more than countered by huge, grapefruity, resiny, peely sticky hops, with more than a hint of rye and spice. Damn this is a bitter one! Comes across as bigger than 8% to me. The texture is slick and the carbonation average. Very, very good

Hazy pale, thick head, aroma is light coffee and mellow citrusy hop, lots of citrus and bitterness, quite a bit of coffee, too, and it makes sense, even though clearly it shouldn’t.

Cask @ Keg & Brew. Medium brown, medium head. Hoppy aroma is a bit citrusy. The palate is toasty, citrusy. On cask a light lively body. Creamy finish. Flavourful, good brew.

Bottle, 10C. Clear golden amber with an inch of white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of mandarin, candied pineapple, passionfruit, Sweet smelling hayish malt, no honey. Lots of fruit but not sickly or fruit punch -like.Another Feral pale ale that smells great. Oily with moderate carbonation - I wouldn’t have minded just a few more bubbles. Clean, pretty sweet and it certainly feels its full 8%. Mandarins (maybe a bit tinny), little Sth E Asian pineapples (ie the really low acid kind unlike the Oz ones that try to digest your tongue), pine builds up a bit towards the fairly bitter finish. In the end what I liked most about it is that all the parts worked together. [3.7]Can. Seems slightly cleaner, lots of of fruit, fairly dry and bitter at the end. Punchy but remains light. +.1 over the bottle. Good stuff, although I still fail to see the Harry Potter reference.

(Bottle) Fantastic looking beer - black, showing ruby when held to light, with good mocha coloured head. Lovely fresh pine and citrus aroma. Great palate, medium bodied, smooth with excellent carbonation. Taste is great too. Refreshing tartness in foretaste gives way to a rich dark roast malt, chocolate, coffee mid palate with some contrasting tarter fruity hints. This smoothly transitions into a very pleasant hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle thanks to Aaron! Pours clear pale amber, small off white head, decent lacing.. Aroma is indeed pine, grapefruit. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter. Medium body. Pretty standard IPA fare, but solid for sure.
