Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.Clear light to medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good, mostly lasting to diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, vomit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, grapefruit peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Bottle shared from Kris Wines. Pours black with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, orange and coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and heavy bitter. Medium bodied with soft to moderate carbonation.

Cask at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 2012. Reddish-brown pour with a white head. Berries, caramel and orchard fruit aromas. Flavours of wild berries, caramel and butter. Warm alcohol feel. Long sweet finish.

Gravity Dispense at Pig’s Ear BF, London - 05/12/12. Clear pale golden with a minimal white head that clears to the edge and forms a small pond. Nose is hops, light citrus, pale malt, lemon drizzle cake, touch of lemon sherbet. Taste follows, sweetish sugar notes, some bitterness in with the lemon and sugars. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Decent drop.

Pigs Ear. Opaque black beer, no real head. Palate is light and dry. Sourish dark malt, subtle red wine. Mild lactose and some salt. Quite a dry finish. Not quite joined up and not much oak, but quite flavoursome.

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer festival 2012, Hackney, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, bitter, slightly sweet, definite grapefruit, citrus fruit. Rich and powerful IPA. Good one from Cambridge Moonshine.

33cl bottle from Pigs Ear 2012 drunk on train home. Thanks to Keen Massey for being such a good bloke. Mid hazy orange red deep amber colour. Lasting beige head. Strong syrupy big grapefruity hop on the aroma. The rich alcoholic grapefruit aroma reminds me of american dipa. Wow its even better in the mouth and swallow than the aroma. Its really good. Seriously is this was american this would be top 50. One of the best uk ipas i have had. Thats incredible. Just had Lovibonds Dirty 69 and it was arresting. This is incredible. Its a british dipa. Lovely. Dirty earthy finish. So how do i score this. Really good

Bottle @ Christers. Pours black with a offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee, dark fruits. Flavor is roasted and sweet malts, coffee, dried dark fruits. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. Nice one. 211112

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark red amber colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy nice roasted aroma. Moderate bitter nice roasted flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
