The Houppe’s success gave things a boost, and a genuine Brewery project gradually emerged, reconnecting Namur to its proud brewing tradition.
The Brasserie de Namur established its headquarters in May 2015 in the former Balon-Perrin brewery (dating back to 1812) on the left bank of the Meuse, less than a kilometre from the city centre.

Bottled 330ml (Beergium)
Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Mango, citrus, elderflower aroma. Medium-bodied. Fruity, Belgi yeasty, a bit honeyish, grassy, spicey flavor. Kind of Belgian Saison elements here too. Decent.

very hazy golden colour, large, dense white head; aroma of intensive fruitiness (mango, passionfruit, peach, maybe some grapefruit, too), some biscuity-bready and floral notes;taste is the same with definite dominance of fruitiness; great beer!

75 cl bottle in Le Prince, in the Rue de Brasseurs, Namur. Pours cloudy dark copper, heavy white rocky head. Smells of IPA: herbs, grapefruit, mango, passionfruit. Mouth is structured, balanced, quite quick as it runs through but persistent in the bitter finish. Rich. I’ll try and have another one.

Pours clear, bit darker blonde. Good to big white head. Smell is hoppy, in a nice, aromatic ( sweet ) way. Taste is mildly hoppy, not as hop-forward as the scent gives away, yet decently hoppy. No bitterness though. Nice carbonation , and decent body. All and all, the beer ain’t bad. Just needs more bitterness for me.

750ml bottle. Restobieres, Brussels. Gold, with a haze. Thick, glossy topped, lasting, white head. Nose has fruity, strawberry and grapefruit, new world hoppage. Light, old world spicy hop! Best of both. Bready grain. Taste is light bitter. Soft, foamy mouthfeel. Light bodied. Easy drinking. Light, floral bitter finish. After a big day of beer this was still a joy. Nice one.

75cl Bottle from Vonk. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is hoppy, floral, dry, medium sweet, hint of coriander, lavender. Flavour is light to medium sweet, light malty, dry, floral, light spicy, really nice old world hoppy and rather bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very tasty, came across as a somewhat drier and more bitter version of Chimay Blanche.
