bottle@restaurant: absolutely clear yellow with very little head, sweat corn taste with a touch of sweet honey, caramel, very smooth as promised by the label, certainly not bad for its kind, very drinkable, good thing is that you can easily drink it with spicey food and it won’t change its flavour

Originally rated March 2009. Made with rice and corn... well, this is going to be smooth. Well, actually, they hopped up the hop, so there is a nice hoppy finish to this one. Pours a light golden colour, with not much carbonation, a medium soapy head, that disappears quickly and some decent lace. The nose has the corn in it, but also the hop is present. Smooth mouthfeel for sure, as written, "extra smooth" on the label. So, not such a bad beer as expected, because the hop saves the day for this one.

A bottle brewed in Bangalore. Tangy and slightly fruity with a zesty sharp note before a long dry malty finish. Not as bad as people would have you believe.

330ml bottle. Pours light golden with a medium head. Aroma is light caramel malt and grassy hops. Taste is mostly watery grassy hops throughout. Flat as hell in the mouth.

750ml bottle. Pours a gold orange with a large, frothy head. Aroma is corn, caramel, some grass and alcohol. Taste is corn to start then some grass. Slightly dry finish. Lots of carbonation.

Bottled. Pale yellowish golden colour, with small white head. Aroma is grains, cardboard, mild rubbery notes as well as some slight hayish notes. Flavour is being quite much the same. Premium Beer and Extra Smooth indeed...

Warning! Early amateur rating! Super smooth lager. Good carbonation. Clean cut, juicy malt. Slightly floral but with a bitter undertone. Very nice! 2010 note - underated beer. Too much lager snobbyness going on!

[660ml bottle at Tamarind, Chippenham] Gold. Large and billowy but quickly diminishing white head. Soft to moderate fizz. A bit of cardboardy malt, a bit of lemon, a hint of grass. Not much better than the other mass-market pale lagers out there, but the softer than average carbonation does make it a little more palatable. As a drink in its own right, it’s poor, but it works to wash down a curry, which I guess is the point.

Bottle. Hazy straw colour with big loose white head. Not very distinctive aroma, but pleasant - hint of tangy fruits and hops perhaps. Full bodied with substantial carbonation - very frothy and creamy. Taste has a sweet, somewhat tangy, and is then dominated by yeast and hop bitterness. Overall it is quite special, but not exceptional.
