Brewery Announcement:
We are more-than-excited to announce the addition of our 5bbl Brewhouse in Alexandria, VA. Cabinet Artisanal Brewhouse is located in the same building as the former Shenandoah Brewery, just outside of Washington, D.C.
Terry Hawbaker, a 7 year veteran of Bullfrog Brewing, is our Brewmaster. With our special house yeast, will be focusing on making “primitive field” beers in our urban farmhouse brewery. A field beer can be defined as a grisettes, saisons, traditional lambics, etc… Terry has always had a fondness for reinventing European-style Farmhouse ales. Terry is by no means a traditional brewer, and he thrives by mixing up new and old brewing techniques. Barrel aging is certainly in the works, as this is an area where Terry has produced some of his most successful beers.

Draught @ CBC ’12
Aroma has urinal cake, some sour cherries and hints of salt. Flavour is rather salty with citron and wheat – feels like homebrew mead with salt added. Interesting, a bit different from the german goses I’ve had.
