Cask at Rose and Thistle, Frimley. Floral and pine aroma. Pale gold. Medium creamy head. Medium bitter. Quite hoppy. Citrus fruits. Medium bodied if thin. Flat carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Thinkk it was somewhat conservative to define this as a golden ale, going to ask for a change in style. OK. More interesting than some with out being multidimensional.

Cask at The Henry Addington, Canary Wharf, London. A golden/amber/straw coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, orange, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, orange, tropical fruit. Not really an IPA but a pleasant ale from Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley.

Bottle from Marks & Spencer, Halifax. Very lightly hazed copper-amber with a thin head. It's a grainy-malty bitter with a low bitterness and surprisingly some activity in the palate. Has a somewhat grainy nose too. It's tasty enough without being spectacular.

Marketed via a Marks & Spencer issue, this is a deeper golden coloured ale with an initial frothy head. It’s got a good body but also a fair bitterness to it which makes up a greater part of its character. Has a slight roasted aftertaste.

It looked pleasant and there was no real aroma coming from the tankard. The flavour was that of a basic bitter, light biscuit malt, a lick of bitter hops and that was about it. A nice mouthfeel from the malt and a very short flavour. It's a session bitter and was pleasant to drink. That's about all I can say.
