Biggish white head of fine lace, subsides quickly. Pale yellow body. Sweetish light clean malt aroma with faint fruity spicy notes. Almost no taste at all, just faint fruitiness. In a way it’s impressive that it’s not watery, despite being almost devoid of taste. Faint hoppy aftertaste. Clearly extremely well made, but sadly all that skill has been expended on removing the taste rather than adding it.

bottle - Brewed and bottled by Molson in Canada. Pours up a thin, rapidly fading head. The aroma is minimal, just a bit of malt. The taste is as weak as the aroma and is a bit sweet, but it’s mostly just watery. Palate is thin and bubbly. It’s a typical fizzy, yellow pale lager with really nothing to recommend it. Avoid.

Small, normal-laced head over clear copper body. Aroma is nearly non-existent. Taste is likewise extremely light, before some slight bitterness and hop aroma emerges in the aftertaste. Well, this has to win the prize for least-tasting beer ever.

Clear, pale yellow body under a small, white, normal-laced head. Aroma is very faint and hard to place. Mostly stale apple, I’d say. Taste has more body to it than the other two in this series I’ve tried, but the same cleanness. Taste is mostly very light malts, followed by a nice, crisp bitterness. Not much to this, but nothing wrong with it, either. Best thing about it is probably the aftertaste.

Medium white normal-laced head over clear yellow body. Faintly floral aroma with hints of something I can’t quite place, maybe a bit sourish. Taste is clean, light, and slightly malty, but quickly overpowered by a nice floral hop aftertaste with only slight bitterness. Very light aftertaste. Much lighter than in the 318. Of the two I’ve tasted so far, this is clearly the least interesting.

Huge, white coarse head over a clear light yellow body. Aroma is light, clean, faintly sweet, and faintly hoppy. Little malts in the aroma, it’s more floral. Taste is very light initially with faint maltiness and hints of sweetness, then quite hoppy and bitter in the aftertaste. Very well balanced, and extremely clean, but not much character. Lovely hop profile in aftertaste.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with light roasted notes and a dry slightly bitter end, but the body is thin. A nice Schwarzbier.

I have to say that the aroma is not unpleasant and neither is the taste, which are the things most going for it. Very smooth. Has a very nice finish and is actually quite refreshing.
