Description
Hammerton Brewery is a microbrewery based in Islington brewing small batch beers with the aim to bring great tasting beer back to the borough and also re-establish the Hammerton Brewery name in London.
Hammerton Brewery originally began brewing in London in 1868. Sadly it ceased to brew in the late 1950s and was later demolished. In 2014, a member of the Hammerton family decided to resurrect the family name in brewing. It also brings brewing back to Islington, a London borough with a great beer making heritage.

Old rating from 11-12-15 - 330ml bottle brought back from London. Poured in Jersey, it's black with a small beige head. Aromas is of oyster & malted oat hops. Tastes of oysters as well as coffee, oats, caramel & toffee with a dry malty aftertaste. This one I enjoyed.

Can. Black beer with a tan head. Chocolate and light spice aroma. Big chili spice and chocolate flavor with light caramel and light vanilla. Medium bodied. Big spice and chocolate linger with light caramel. Big chili bite stays with you.

It’s nice but there’s something a bit weird in there at the start. Almost a bit Parmesan/sick like. The finish is nice and pineappley though. Not that sour.

Oooh, this is nice. Low alcohol but lots of flavour. But maybe lots of artificial flavour. I like it though. Got everything it says in the description, nuts, honey and chocolate. I like it.

Very dry. Got the usual Muscat thing I find with Brut IPAs. It’s a good one though. Quite bitter. In a good way.

440ml can. Pours a clear dark brown, beige head. Aroma of fudge, caramel milk chocolate. Taste of fudge, caramel, milk chocolate, some coffee roast and burnt caramel bitterness. Light bodied, thin compared to AF beers I've had recently, only thing letting this one down really. And lactose.
