Description
Hammerton Brewery is a microbrewery based in Islington brewing small batch beers with the aim to bring great tasting beer back to the borough and also re-establish the Hammerton Brewery name in London.
Hammerton Brewery originally began brewing in London in 1868. Sadly it ceased to brew in the late 1950s and was later demolished. In 2014, a member of the Hammerton family decided to resurrect the family name in brewing. It also brings brewing back to Islington, a London borough with a great beer making heritage.

Very sweet but pretty nice. Everything that’s in the description. Maybe not that complex but good taste for the strength if you’re up for this kind of thing

12/VII/24 - 33cl can @ Katie’s UK beer tasting (@home), BB: IV/2025, B1475 “CRUNCH” (2024-542) Thanks to Katie for the awesome beer tasting!
Clear dark brown beer, nice creamy beige head, unstable, a bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots and lots of peanut all right, dry peanut powder, a soft roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: good roast, dry, cocoa powder, soft acidity, quite some peanut, more roasted. Aftertaste: dry, roasted, spicy, peanut, some coffee, nice enough!

Rocky white head left a froth on an unclear dull golden coloured body. Minimal aroma of boiled sweets & pale malt. Medium to thin bodied, foamy & dry in the back. Melon, grain, biscuit & berry tastes with a bitterly hopped citrus finish. Middle of the road.
