Amber colored beer with a mildly bitter taste and some caramelised malt. Liked it.

Had one froom 2009, so it was three years old and it had aged a little. Complex beer with dark fruits and raisins that leaves a comfortable warm glow in your mouth. Aftertaste is long and has some smooth vanilla. Very good.

They call it a hybrid between an IPA and a blond beer. But actually this makes it more like uninteresting IPA, I like this kind of beer more outspoken.

(Draught at Kafé Belgie, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with orange, mandarin, toast, hints of caramel and dried fruit. Fruity, malty taste with notes of crisp malt, orange, dried apricots and a dry finish with a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Refreshing and tasty. Nice one.

Bottle @ De drie dorstige herten, Utrecht shared by Bierkoning. Hazy opaque reddish color with some yeast particles in it, beige head. Smell malts, raisins, grapes. Taste malts, raisins, grapes, alcohol, sweetness. Pretty nicely balanced even though it’s a three year old bottle. Medium to full body and carbonation. Nice!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bert’s Bierhuis. Cloudy dark amber with a beige head. Fruity, yeasty aroma. Sweet taste with lots of depth: spices, fruits and some roasted malts. Alcohol is very well concealed. Nice aftertaste. Overall a good beer.
