(bottle) Clear and dark amber colour with a big foamy tanned head. Grainy malty aroma. Bitter flavour, light body, dry malty taste with notes of toffee, very thin and short light bitter finish.

330 ml bottle, bought in Germany. ABV is 4.9%. Beautiful reddish brown colour, large and lingering greyish light tan head. Moderate malty aroma with some caramel and spices, some flowery aromatic hops too. Flavour is moderately malty and herbal with moderate hops, a little burnt caramel too. Easy drinking, but not one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark, clear colour with a reddish glow - very cola like. Head is dense and creamy. The flavour can politely be described as odd. The bitterness of the Altbier combined with the spicy sweetness of the cola is very, very....unusual. A unique experiece, but not one that I would really like to have again. 290102

Medium creamy whitish head, which subsides quickly, over dark red-brown clear body. Aroma of caramel and perhaps some bread. Strong taste of caramel with notes of burntness; the taste fades towards the end, leaving a taste somewhat like burnt breakfast cereal with some bitterness. Very clean and smooth. A highly drinkable beer, but one with some character. (0.5l bottle.)

Bottle at Kent BF. Mahogany colour, some malt but nice astringent hop finish. Good beer for supping down without too much thought

Bottle: Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, not so long lasting; typical musty nose of an "industrial" Pilsener, some weak grassy hoppiness, some grainy, bready maltiness; light sweetish flavour, weak bitter aftertaste...Typical drab northern-german Pilsener, repetition not necessary!

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, light brown - an appearance close to a dark, Danish lager. Low head-retention. Very pure, malty flavours and a pronounced bitter finish. 070699

(bottle) Dark amber colour with medium foamy & lasting white head. Light malty note with hints of fruits (banana) and herbs. Slight toasted malty taste, medium bodied and dry bitter finish. An average Alt beer but fine enough to be enjoyable, but it lacks a bit of taste and hops.

Bottled. Copper coloured, small white head which disappears completely. Bitter malty aroma. Malty and caramelly flavour with hints of roast. Tonguetickling carbonation. Also some fruitish hints in the bitterish finish. Aftertaste is lightly roasted malt.
