Handpull cask at the Old Horse, Leicester. Brownish gold and clear with a film of off-white head and lots of lacing. Gummy caramel aroma with notes of orange peel.quiteearthy and dominated by malt. Sweet taste with massive malt notes, finishing on citrus tea with a light hop flourish. Quite good.

440ml can from some garden centre. Pours a mostly clear golden colour, light haze to it, small white head. Aroma of sweet bready malts. Taste follows suit, very bready malt flavour, quite sweet, little to no hops just a mild grassy note, hardly any bitterness. Middling - no better than the macro rubbish out there.

440ml can from some random garden centre. Hazy golden, big white head. Aroma is very fruity, passionfruit, orange. Taste is the same, orange, passionfruit, sweet with a bitter finish. Playing it safe with nothing too challenging for their garden centre audience but it's actually not bad considering that.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A golden amber pour with a loose white top; crisp malty aroma with some apricot; fresh orchard fruit taste; then a gentle bitterness with a touch of spice from the hops; before a dry finish. A proper bitter, just the thing on the first day of an Indian Summer.
