Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, candy, dark sweet malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration, candy, brown sugar, roasted, sugary sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Unclear matt dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, candy, dark sweet malt, dusty malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration, candy, brown sugar, roasted, sugary sweet, sweet coffee - roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140927] 7-2-7-3-14

310 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with white floating sediment and moderate head. Aromas of brown sugar and malt extract. Flavors of bitter resiny hops, grass and toasted malts. A bit skunky. Meh. 20

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, metal, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

60 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is pine and dry herbal hoppy. Toasted malty, grapefruity. Bitter and herbal. Dry and toasted malty. Dry and herbal finish.

Borefts VI. Day 2. Bottle. Thanks for the share. Murky brown beer, no head. Light and semi dry palate. Caramel sweet dark malt, trace of coffee. Light dry finish. Simple stuff but fine. 2.9

'Colorado Guanabara'. 10%. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is fairly light, mildly dry and has a sharpish carbonation. Smooth and slightly thin dark malts, a touch of dark chocolate. Dominant taste is a kinda spicy treacle with a trace of toffee - caramel, I assume this must be the rapadura sugar. A little spicy dark fruits underneath. Light spicy finish. Unusual and interesting, but could not drink loads.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Askje 18.11.14. Very dark brown. Beige head. Slightly paperdry aroma with pine, dry wood, vanilla and dark coffee. Similar taste. Good drinkability.

Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to our beerpal Olav. Black colour, moderate tan head. The aroma has dusty notes, nearly overshadowing the expected roasty notes. Moderate roasty notes in the flavour, also less pleasant dusty and grainy notes. Not the most successful porter in the world.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Askje 18.11.14 and Mi2 at Cardinal 07.12.15. Dark golden. Small, off-white head. Pine, papaya and bittersweet citrus in aroma. Better taste, of citrus well balanced with overripe tropical fruits and malt sweetness. Similar aftertaste.

Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to our beerpal Olav. ABV is 9.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, some fruity and piney hops, stale marmalade and a little caramel and dust. Distinctly hoppy flavour throughout on a decent malty base, nice bitterness, well balanced.
