Bottled 600ml. -at Estacao des Maltes, Natal. Almost black coloured, medium sized brown head, roasted coffee in the nose. Slight roasted malt, heavy coffee and discreet alcoholic with notes of chocolate and some nuts in the finish. Pleasant one.

Bottled 600ml. -at Estacao des Maltes, Natal. Amber/brown coloured, minimal off-white head, some caramel and grain in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel and noticable alcohol with nutty and fruity notes. Slight syrupy and dryish finish. Not the best one here but pretty much ok.

Bottled 600ml. -at Estacao des Maltes, Natal. Brown coloured, small cappuccino head, nutty nose. Toasted malt, nutty and fruity with mild hoppy notes but unfortunately ruined by metal presence in the finish. Let’s say a bit unbalanced but ok.

Bottled 600ml. -at some small bar in random Sao Paulo mall. Orange/golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, fresh hoppy nose with whiff of alcohol. Heavy sweet malty, citrusy hoppy and caramel with noticable alcohol in the finish. Nice one.

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry and a little crispy. Smooth dry malts and light sweet esters. Sweetish dry nuts. Finishes smooth and dry and mildly bitter. Creamy nutty aftertaste and esters also linger on. Not bad.

600 ml bottle into snifter, unknown bottle coding. Pours pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, molasses, toast, dark bread, licorice, raisin, herbal, light char, and roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, dark sugar, and light yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, molasses, toast, dark bread, raisin, licorice, light char, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Light amount of earthy/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roast, molasses, toast, dark bread, raisin, light licorice, light char, herbal, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity of dark/roasted malt, dark sugar, and light yeast ester flavors; with a nice roasted sweetness/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very creamy and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial stout. All around great complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt, dark sugar, and light yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
