23/IX/22 - on tap @ Borefts Day 1, BB: n/a - probably the B.A. version, although the booklet nor the labeling on the stand mentioned any barrel ageing, the alc % was that of the B.A. version and not the regular version (2022-1199) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!

Clear dark brown beer, creamy bit irregular beige brown head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: very sweet impression, lots of roasted malts, dark caramel, malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice roast up front, lots of alcohol, very intense, bitter, malty, quite some coffee, very dark roast. Aftertaste: alcohol, a bit sweet, heavy, very intense.

Clear dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: lots of very dark caramel, sweet impression, a bit dusty, malty grains as well. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter start, good dark roast, quite some alcohol, lots of dark chocolate, coffee notes, more bitterness, some coffee grit even. Aftertaste: a bit sourish, bitter, weird and a tad unpleasant, can’t quite put my finger on it though... Didn’t really get any vanilla in this one...

Cloudy orange blond beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: lots of vanillin, fake vanilla, Tic Tac mints (or at least the sugary coating), a bit funky, acidic touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: acidic start, funky, lemony, fake vanilla, a bit malty. Aftertaste: sourish finish, fruity touch, lemony, bitter, a bit hoppy, ok but not great. Not a big fan of that fake vanilla flavour...

Süffiger, dunkel malziger Beginn. Zunehmend getreidig malzig, nicht nur im Hintergrund, würzig-herb, mittellanger Abgang. 10/9/11/10//11

Süßlicher Beginn. Malz, Laktose, minimal röstig. Leichte Bitterkeit, dann wieder süßlich malzig, gut ausgewogen. 11/11/11/11//11

On tap at Borefts Bierfestival, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 23rd September 2022 in the company of many Ratebeerians. Pours light to mid gold, very light haze, nice fruity Pils perhaps could be a little bit crisper but it is refreshing and really pleasant.
