Bottled. Cloudy amber, small head. Fruity, estery banana aroma. Sweet and richly malty. Intriguing mix of fruit salad and malt. Alvinnes house character is here married with a body that adds a dimension to the beer. Complex and really good!

Bottled. Mahogany colour. Roasty and nutty, very dry. Salty and medium bodied and very well hopped with somewhat soapy mouthfeel and really bitter finish.

Smells exactly like MiP Hot Hot Porter. Unclear dark brown colour, small, tight, light brown head. Peppery and sweet flavour with some liquorice. Aftertaste of pure liquorice. Good mouthfeel.

More and more of the beer is now brewed at the Ingelmunster location, and not outsourced. It is unclear whether this is considered a new beer, or a renaming of the Extra Blond, now brewed at home. Clear, slightly peachy-blond beer, with slim white head. Bit vegetable, greenmalt nose, but not too young-smelling. Yeasty. Bitterish, grassy taste, ending vegetable bitter, like Belgian endives, but shortlived. Slick (again, umpteenth time I jot down this word today), velvety MF. It’s quite OK. Yet, if you call your beer " Extra Bitter ", I expect some other punch. Pay the brewer a USA trip, please.

Hazy amber-orange, small yellow head. Very slightly sourish nose, malts, bit of orange peel. Dry-bitterish. Spiced - I get orange peel again. Some candi sugar, not necessarily white, however - ends sweet. Quite well bodied. Aftertaste is drier again, nearly tart. Good, uncharacteristic tripel. Bit sweet at a moment - seems not completely fermented out. Needs some ageing.

An unclear yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coriander and yeast. The flavor is sweet and very spicy with coriander standing out. The end is quite dry.

Very high head, dirty yellow-brown; dark brown beer with beautiful Burgundy sparks. Sweet drop nose (liquorice), aniseed and fennel. Fuselalcohols, swirming around the spices; aniseed and liquorice for sure, very sweet! Long spicey, lasting taste. very well-bodied, very viscous, nearly buttery-meaty. Not my kind of beer, really. And I don’t like it when I can pick out and name the spices unerringly.

Very foxy-amber highlights in golden-orange beer; very dense, yellowish head. Coriander leaps out of the glass, bit of dishwater - that IS the glass -, very much amber and cookie malts, orange zeste. Sweet, bitter, little sourish taste - perfect balance. Coriander is there, but it does NOT dominate. Beer gets more fruity with time and warming up. Well bodied, slick and oily MF. I’m impressed by its balance. Equally by the fact that Alvinne is now really brewing.
