We are named after the silver carp, the very fat fish roaming the rivers and lakes of Europe. Its shape resembles the body of one our brewers after he quit rowing. With all the fat he gained the nickname Lobik came included. From the look of things the whole team will earn the nickname rather soon.
The goal of the brewery from the very beginning has remained the same. It means making the beers we like to drink. Admittedly it means they are a bit heavy on the alcohol and complex with its tastes. Consequentially it means we use the highest quality of ingredients. Anyway, enough about us. We just hope you like our beers and drink them with the joy we do!

Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma che resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido si presenta opalescente. Il colore è giallo torbido. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è molto elevata e la permanenza è lunga e persistente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, amaretto, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas, mandarino, melone, pepe verde, salvia, eucalipto e cedro.

La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine.Il liquido è di aspetto opalescente. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è carico. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, spezie, crosta di pane, frutta secca, luppolo, resina, pino, agrumi, pompelmo, ananas, arancia rossa, ribes nero, lampone e lime.

Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage, con carbonazione vivace e persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato torbido. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate. Il finale è amarognolo. Il retrogusto è intenso. Tap at Lajbah. Clear golden yellow, smaller white head, not too lasting. Solid hoppy nose, some cellar notes, otherwise grass and spices. Medium bitterness, some sweetenss later on. Spicy finish and lasting, gentle aftertaste. Light, fresh and clean.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, orange, tropical notes, some grapefruit and mango. Flavour is light to moderate sweet, fairly bitter for the style with some hop burn. Body is medium. Fruity and very hoppy, not that weedy, rather bitter with hop burn, lacking that NE softness.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is fruity and dank hops with citrus, oniony notes, orange, tropical, mango, grapefruit, light pine. Moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter flavour. Body is medium. Dank and fruity hops, nice NE Pale.

Can from De Bierverteller, Utrecht. Aroma is fruity and resinous hops with alcohol, grapefruit, tropical notes, lychee, notes of citrus and peach, malt. Flavour is fairly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Some alcohol. Body is above medium. Doesn't drink easily. A bit crude.
